It’s funny, because most of the kids who get purple are 12, and after they’ve had purple for a while, they start going to the grown-up class.

But I’m a little short for that. I guess I’ll just keep training.

My purple belt test. I passed.

At the end of the test, the senseis all left to deliberate about the results and told me I was in charge until they got back because I was the highest ranked student.

I was good at that too.

Noah and I reviewing our test sheets to see if there’s anything we want to ask Sensei. My purple belt test is coming up.

Henry went to aikido with me.

For this exercise, we have to throw our uke so that they land right on the square.

Wow. We got to aikido so early the dojo was still locked. I guess there’s nothing else for it but to sit and read.

So, (eek) all the students had to practice (eek) their rolling OVER ME.

We line up with the least experienced student all the way on the left to the most experienced student all the way on the right.
