My aikido class tested today. I’m too new to test for my first rank, but they let me practice, anyway.

Hey I can’t hear you. There’s a zucchini in my ear. Sharon grew it. Then pawned it off on us.

“This is the biggest zucchini ever.”

“I know you guys did not know that people could do this thing…”

Also Mom and Dad have their 20th anniversary today.
S: It’s my university, too.
M: Anniversary. And, well, no, you weren’t even born yet. In fact, not for a very long time.
S: So? Why do you get to have an anniversary without me. That’s not fair.
M: What’s not fair about it? It’s just like when you have your birthday. It’s YOUR birthday. Like an anniversary of your birth. You don’t have to share it.
S: …
M: Fine. It’s your anniversary too.
S: As long as we don’t say it’s not my anniversary, too. Ever again.
