S: When we eat, the villain inside poisons us.
M: Huh? We have villains inside us?
S: Yes. We all do. Right here.
M: Do you… mean ‘liver’… by any chance?
S: Yes. Our… liver… is right here. And it poisons us.
M: Do you maybe mean that when we eat, our livers filter out any poisons in our blood stream?
S: Yes. That is what I said.

Hm. Mom’s in the hospital to get emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. That doesn’t sound like the right way to get me a sibling! They even forgot to get today’s picture!
On the plus side, I had my first sleepover at neighbor Sharon’s house.
