Mom: It’s not so bad. It will be fine.
Sarah: Sniff. This is just like you, Mom.
Mom: … What do you mean?
Sarah: In aikido.
Mom: You mean when I got kicked in the mouth in aikido?
Sarah: Yeah. And you were bleeding. This is like that. I’ll need a new outfit now.
Mom: What? Why do you need new clothes?
Sarah: To practice my aikido.
