No kidding. We got home after 10 hours in the car. I woke her up to get her into the house and she kept looking blearily around the house and repeating a new syllable for her, in a very relieved tone of voice. She kept saying, 'Ack.' I put her to bed as Mark was unloading the car. Apparently she woke up when he was putting the diaper pail away. Normally she would stay awake if this happened, but she just smiled at him, said 'Ack,' again, and went back to sleep. It reminded me a little bit of when we were kids and picked up our cat Tommy from the vet. Tommy kept lifting himself off the back seat of the car to look as us all and meow emphatically, even though he was probably exhausted and had a broken femur.
