I don’t know how y’all are celebrating December in the rest of the country, but here in LA, we’re gardening in our swimsuits.

We had a Going Away party for Ed, because he’s moving to Australia. Ed, Tracy, Denise, Brian, and Andrew came over for Chicago-style stuffed pizza from Masa’s.

My weekly manicure. It’s taking time away from my playing with Mom and Dad’s college friend, Wil. Although, I suppose it’s possible he also wanted to spend some time playing with Mom and Dad.

My new fashion invention… Scarf Pants!

S: Kyle says Santa isn’t going to give me any presents.
M: Well, that’s true.
S: What!?
M: Santa’s just a character, like Clifford the Big Red Dog. So, how could he give you presents? You know that, right?
S: Oh. Yeah. I did… Well, how am I going to get presents, then?
M: You’ll get a bunch from your friends, neighbors, family. Don’t worry. There will be more than you need.
S: Okay… Can you write ‘From Santa’ on them?
M: … Suuure.
