Hideki Sensei, what do you mean I have to go over my shoulder? Woah!

Now that I’m in kindergarten, and home sooner in the day, I thought I would try going to the Wednesday night class, too.

We’re using our tontos to help us stay balanced while we do shiko.

I’m last because I am being the MOST CAREFUL.

We went over to Helen and Mike’s for karaoke. These are their daughters, Dani and Haley. It was a great time. Gary and Keiko were there, too.

Mom and Dad brought the house down with ‘Love Shack’ right before we left.

We always stop at Ralph’s for drinks between my aikido class and Mom’s fight club.

Had my 9th kyu test today… and passed! Now my belt is yellow with a black stripe.

I have an aikido test coming up 6/29, so I’m practicing rolling.

Haha! I have been preparing for this in fight club. I know how to hold a bokken. (We almost never get the weapons out in my kids’ class… There’s probably a reason for that.)

Mom’s nikyu aikido test was today. She passed! Good job Mom. We went out to Acapulco’s for lunch with everyone afterward. (That’s Sensei Mark on the left and Shirlee on the right. Thanks guest photographer Gary.)
